Question:422 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the figures regarding the number of cars stolen and recovered in the Dublin south-west area. [22542/02]
Written Answers. - Garda Operations.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Dublin south-west area comprises the sub-districts of Tallaght, Clondalkin, Ronanstown, Lucan and Leixlip. I am further informed that 1,358 vehicles have been reported stolen in the Dublin south-west area in 2002 to date. I am further informed that 1,324 vehicles, many of which were stolen elsewhere, have been recovered in the area.
