Vol. 557 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Seán Haughey

Question:

463 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if all grants, including conservation grants, earmarked by his Department for the restoration of a building used for cultural purposes (details supplied) in Dublin, will be paid in 2002 in view of their difficult financial circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22659/02]

The applicants were allocated a grant of €20,000 in March 2002 under the architectural conservation element of the urban and village renewal measure of the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme. This funding has been paid in full in October 2002. Dublin City Council has also included additional works to the premises as an element of its Dorset Street regeneration plan. This will be funded under the city regeneration element of the urban and village renewal measure of the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme. It is anticipated that this funding will be drawn down by Dublin City Council before the end of 2002.

Question No. 464 answered with Question No. 440.
