478 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the difficulties and hardship being experienced by communities and groups awaiting the announcement of phase 2 of the young persons' services and facilities scheme; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The national assessment committee of the Young People's Facilities and Services Fund, which is chaired by my Department, is currently examining capital pro posals submitted by the development groups under round II of the fund. Decisions on round II of the fund will be taken in the context of the overall provision for 2003. With regard to services projects, the committee is awaiting the completion of the external evaluation of the fund, which is due shortly, before seeking such proposals under round II.
