Ryan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources his plans to hold discussions with the mobile phone companies with a view to better anti-phone theft technology, in view of the number of thefts of mobile phones; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have regular contacts with the mobile phone companies. I have had no approaches from them on the question of anti-phone theft technology, which is a matter for the industry to address.
