Vol. 557 No. 4

Written Answers. - Destocking Requirements.

Michael Ring

Question:

155 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a reassessment of the destocking requirement can be arranged for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [22213/02]

Farmers who received notification of the preliminary calculation of quota for 2003 may elect to consult a planner to review the calculation. The level of destocking required under a commonage framework plan must be reflected at individual farm level and it is not possible to apply different destocking percentages to different shareholders on the same commonage. Any adjustment to the destocking recommendations in a framework plan can be based only on the determination of an appeal by the appeals body which is currently being established.
