Vol. 557 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Staff.

Phil Hogan

Question:

194 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) was sacked from her job at St. Michael's, Cappoquin, County Waterford, in 1990; the reason this person was subsequently re-employed by the South-Eastern Health Board three or four years later; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23015/02]

The South-Eastern Health Board has informed me that the person in question was employed directly by a religious order and her removal from her position was a matter for that organisation. The health board, in so far as it can establish, was not notified of her removal nor the reason for it. The individual concerned was never employed by the South-Eastern Health Board.
