Question:

93 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will receive a special beef premium and slaughter premium; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22743/02]

The person named received an 80% advance payment under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme for the amount of €128 on 16 October. This represented payment on two animals which were found eligible under the scheme. The person named also had an animal under query for this scheme. The query has now been resolved and payment will issue on this animal shortly. The person named submitted three applications in respect of EU special beef premium 2002 for a total of five animals. An 80% advance payment has issued in respect of these animals.

Question:

94 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when area aid payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22744/02]

The person named has ten animals eligible under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme. Nine of these animals are also eligible under the national envelope top up scheme. The 80% advance payments for the amounts of €640 and €164.52 issued on 16 October 2002 for the respective schemes. The person named has made no special beef application. The person named will be paid his full entitlement under the 2002 area based compensatory allowance scheme shortly.
