Vol. 557 No. 6

Written Answers. - Chiropody Service.

Seán Ryan

Question:

161 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will report on the need for a chiropody service for people in the Rolestown, Oldtown and Garristown areas of north County Dublin; and the steps being taken to ensure that this service is available for patients with chiropody cards in the area. [23021/02]

Responsibility for the provision of chiropody services for eligible medical card holders is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board, in this case the Eastern Regional Health Authority. Accordingly, my Department has referred the matter to him for investigation and asked that he reply directly to the Deputy.
