Vol. 557 No. 6

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

164 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the proportion of the ?514 million he has announced for hospital building which will be allocated to the South-Eastern Health Board; the hospitals to benefit from this allocation; the amount in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23024/02]

My Department is currently assessing the capital funding requirements of the health services for 2003 in the context of the recently announced capital funding of €514.384 million. While this sum clearly reflects the Government's continuing commitment to health NDP and is a major further investment in health infrastructure, no decision has yet been made on the breakdown by health board.
