215 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if increases in charges to individuals, to companies or to groups have been sanctioned to be charged by agencies or units under the aegis of his Department; and the changes being made in absolute and in percentage terms. [23101/02]
MET Éireann increased certain commercial charges by 10% in October 2002. Details are set out in the following Table.
No other body under the aegis of my Department has increased charges for which my approval is required since my appointment as Minister for the Environment and Local Government.

The warnings are known as Weather Warning and Severe Weather Alert and apply to land areas of Ireland. |
€66 per month for inclusion in the Severe Weather Alert list; €83 for both. All those on the list for Weather Warnings would be included in the circulation of Severe Weather Alerts in the (rare) event of an alert being issued in the absence of a warning. |
