166 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the situation with respect to the investigation into the killings of persons (details supplied) in County Leitrim; if anyone has been charged or found guilty; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24139/02]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that no person has been charged with or convicted of the killings referred to by the Deputy. However, the file on the incident remains open and any new information or evidence which comes to light will be investigated by the Garda Síochána.
