211 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of halting sites per local authority here; the number of bays in each of those sites; and the present number of families occupying each of those sites. [24136/02]
The information requested in relation to the number of halting sites is set out in the following table.
While the number of families occupying these sites varies, the annual count of Traveller families taken on 30 November 2001 and the most recent such information available, showed that there was a total of 1,192 families living on local authority halting sites. Details of the number of families on sites is not available in my Department.
