30 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his plans to increase the cap on corporate donations to political parties and increase the spending limits for political parties and candidates during general elections. [23854/02]
I am at present evaluating the operation of relevant provisions of the Electoral Acts, including the more recent ones, at the 2002 general election. Based on this review, I will consider the need to develop proposals for Government and the Oireachtas regarding any further improvement of electoral legislation.
