Vol. 558 No. 4

Written Answers. - Housing Report.

Mary Upton

Question:

403 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will examine the profile of households accommodated report by Dublin City Council which was published recently; the steps which will follow the conclusions reached in the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24323/02]

This report was commissioned by Dublin City Council with financial support from my Department. The research was undertaken by the housing unit in collaboration with the social inclusion unit of the city council.

It is a matter for the city council in the first instance to assess the conclusions and bring forward proposals, if appropriate, in partnership with the other statutory agencies involved. My Department will be pleased to consider any appropriate proposals put forward by the city council.
