Question:125 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive outstanding payments for 2002. [25065/02]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
The person named applied for premium in respect of six animals under the 2002 special beef premium scheme. Some 80% advance payment in respect of these animals issued on 27 November 2002.
The person named has five animals eligible under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme. Payment will be made on these animals as soon as possible.
The person named applied for premium for two cows under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. The application has been processed and it is expected that payment will issue shortly.

Question:126 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received area based payments to date; and the reason this person has not been informed if there is a problem with their area aid application. [25066/02]
The person named included a land parcel on his 2002 area aid application in respect of which an overclaim was determined. The area aid unit wrote to him in this regard and a reply is awaited. Until this matter is resolved his area aid application cannot be fully processed and no area related payments can issue.
The person named is an applicant under the 2002 area-based compensatory allowance scheme but payment cannot issue until the outstanding area aid problem is resolved. The person named applied on 12 animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. The application has been processed to payment stage but payment cannot issue until the outstanding area aid problem is resolved.
The person named submitted two applications in respect of a total of nine animals under the 2002 special beef premium scheme. These applications have been processed to payment stage. However, payment cannot issue until the outstanding area aid problem is resolved.
The person named has four animals eligible under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme and three animals eligible under the 2002 national envelope top up. Payments for the amounts of €256 and €54.84 issued on 16 October 2002 for the respective schemes.
