Question:

138 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive suckler cow premium for 2002; and the other payments for 2002 which are still outstanding to this person. [25173/02]

The 2002 area aid application of the person named was fully processed with an area determined for payment purposes of 10.61 hectares. The person named will be paid his full entitlement under the 2002 area-based compensatory allowance scheme shortly.

The person named applied for premium for seven animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. Following an examination of his application it was found that animal tag No. PIA453706 was moved off the holding within the six months retention period. Correspondence issued to the herdowner on 29 November 2002 requesting that he nominate a replacement animal. The application will be processed further on receipt of his reply.
