McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the timescale for the completion of school building projects at Sacred Heart National School, Huntstown, Dublin 15; the measures he intends to put in place to prevent anti-social behaviour on the site of the extension; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 271 and 275 together.
Architectural planning for the building projects in question are at an advanced stage. I will announce my Department's expenditure proposals for primary school buildings in the new year. It is not possible at this stage to give any indication as to when construction will commence on individual projects.
272 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the timescale for the completion of the construction of the sports hall at Castleknock Community College, Dublin 15; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25935/02]
It is proposed to construct a PE hall of 806 square metres at Castleknock Community College and this project is currently at stage one of architectural planning – site survey and report. Decisions relating to the progress of this project, as with all others, will be made in light of the allocations made for post-primary buildings in the recent budget and competing priorities. At this stage it is not possible to say when the project will commence on site.
