316 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason home helps in the Western Health Board region, who had been told they would receive their annual leave payments on 20 December 2002, have been informed by the health board that they will not get annual leave or payment for their annual leave; if he will investigate this situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for payment of annual leave entitlements as appropriate, rests in this case with the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
