Written Answers. - Budget Submissions.

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

74 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the submissions he made to the Minister for Finance for inclusion in the budget or the Finance Act; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25694/02]

I made two submissions concerning the budget to the Department of Finance on 6 and 26 November this year.

I am pleased that, in the context of a tight budgetary situation, my proposal concerning stamp duty relief for young trained farmers has been taken on board. This relief is worth €13 million to young farmers in a full year.
