145 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance the action he intends to take to address the severe flooding of the Shannon basin following meetings by his Minister of State with the IFA; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26776/02]
The report on the Shannon which I asked the Office of Public Works to prepare will be completed before the end of the month. I expect to meet with the IFA shortly after that to discuss the findings of the report and to respond to the specific suggestions made by the IFA in relation to flooding in the Shannon catchment.
