Vol. 559 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Services.

Michael Ring

Question:

277 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a social worker from the Western Health Board will call to persons (details supplied) in County Mayo to discuss the very serious problem they have and to assess their needs, in view of the fact that nobody has called to assess them to date. [26391/02]

The provision of health related services to people with physical and sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board with a request that she examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
