Vol. 559 No. 5

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

278 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Health and Children when it is intended to provide a speech and language therapist for the Health Centre, Killinarden, Tallaght, Dublin 24, especially having regard to the number of pupils from local schools referred for speech and language assessment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26405/02]

The provision of health related support services, including speech and language therapy, is a matter for the ERHA and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the ERHA's regional chief executive with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
