Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Olwyn Enright

Question:

123 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when he will appoint a director to the agricultural office in Tullamore; when this position will be advertised and filled; the reason for the delay; if the service being provided is being curtailed as a result of the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26377/02]

The following are the management posts based in my Department's office in Tullamore: one superintending veterinary inspector, three veterinary inspectors, three district superintendents, one agricultural inspector, two assistant agricultural inspectors, one regional higher executive officer and one higher executive officer. There is one vacancy for veterinary inspector. This is expected to be filled in the near future. All other posts are filled.
