232 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the total cost of administering livestock premia, arable premia, farm improvement grants, REP schemes and other EU payments by sector; the action he is taking to reduce these costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1447/03]
The detailed information requested by the Deputy is being compiled and will be sent to him as soon as possible. My Department keeps its expenditure and deployment of resources under constant review with the aim of achieving maximum efficiency in the provision of income supports for farmers, support for the agri-food industry and food safety programmes.
