Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Home Help Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

663 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine as a mat ter of urgency the assistance and home help being provided by the South Eastern Health Board to the family of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to determine if further help can be given in view of the level of family input to the care of this person. [1329/03]

The provision of health related services, including home help services, to older people and to people with disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
