Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Willie Penrose

Question:

799 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will take steps to have an application for a visa by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath immediately dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1984/03]

The visa application in question was refused due to insufficient supporting documentation. Reasons for the refusal will be forwarded to the applicant's reference in Ireland, and it is then open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department. In this regard, the immigration division, which includes the visa office, has moved to 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
