Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Bernard Allen

Question:

806 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the application made for registration with the Land Registry in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork, submitted by Cork County Council, will be finalised; and the reason for the delay in having the registration finalised. [1008/03]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that these are applications for first registration which were lodged on 21 November 2001. Dealing numbers D2001CK014852Y and D2001CK014890G refer. I understand that, due to their complicated nature, these types of applications, which require examination of an applicant's entitlement to the property, can take some time to process. I am further informed that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 22 January 2003 and that the applications cannot proceed further until the queries raised are dealt with. However, I assure the Deputy that the application will receive further attention on receipt of a satisfactory reply to these queries.
