Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Operations.

Michael Noonan

Question:

844 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda Síochána have undertaken a security assessment at Shannon Airport in present circumstances; the steps being taken to ensure the security of the airport and safety of all persons using, working in, or in the vicinity of the airport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1628/03]

It is not the policy of the Garda Síochána to comment on the particular security measures being taken in any specific case. However, I am informed by the Garda authorities that the security situation at Shannon Airport is kept under constant review and that all appropriate measures are being taken.
