Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

906 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when the 2002 Dúchas compensation payment under the ewe cull scheme will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [1378/03]

The person named in the Deputy's question had headage of 94 and a permanent quota of 63 in 1998. He had to destock by 28 to 66 but lost no premium rights. He suffered a loss of headage but since 2001 headage payments have been area based rather than animal based. Accordingly, the person is not currently entitled to any compensation from my Department.
