Vol. 560 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

220 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has received their full entitlement under suckler cow premium schemes for 2001 and 2002. [2558/03]

The person named was paid his entitlement under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme on 12 September 2002, as outlined in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 267 on 9 October 2002.

The person named applied for premium for seven animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. Following an examination of his application it was found that animal tag No. PIA453706 was moved off the holding within the required six months retention period. Correspondence issued to the herdowner on 29 November 2002 requesting that he nominate a suitable replacement animal. As no reply has been received to date from the person named it has been decided to select, from information available on CMMS, a heifer tag No. 271206350038 to replace the absent animal. The application is now being processed further on this basis and if in order payment should issue shortly.
