238 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding plans for the development of Tallaght Garda station, Dublin 24; if his attention has been drawn to the need for progress in the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2676/03]
The formulation of proposals for the development of the site of Tallaght Garda station as an urban campus for Government Departments, including a new Garda station, is progressing. Discussions are continuing with South County Dublin Council in this regard but unfortunately these discussions are taking longer than anticipated. It is now expected that the redevelopment proposals will be ready for consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works by the end of March 2003.
