Vol. 560 No. 3

Written Answers. - Missing Funds.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

245 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a Paymaster General payable order in the name of a society was lodged to an account other than that of the society, then in the sum of £20,000 (details supplied); if the account in question is held by a person (details supplied); if not, if the account holder can be identified; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2680/03]

The Department is actively pursuing this matter with a view to having it fully clarified. It would not be appropriate for me to comment further until this process has been completed.
