Vol. 560 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

John McGuinness

Question:

316 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will sanction the funds to construct a car park at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny; and if he will consider the financially successful model at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar to determine if such an arrangement would work in Kilkenny. [2481/03]

The prioritisation and delivery of health capital developments at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, is, in the first instance, a matter for the South Eastern Health Board under the national development plan. The board has established a project team which is at present preparing briefs for future developments at the hospital.

The provision of funding will be examined in the context of capital priorities and general capital funding available.
