Question:321 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the quantity and cost of stationery used by his Department every year; and the proportion of that stationery which is recycled paper. [2497/03]

The information requested by the Deputy in relation to the quantity of stationery used by my Department is not readily available and its compilation would be a time consuming exercise. However, I can say that in the year 2002 expenditure incurred by my Department in the purchase of stationery amounted to approximately €70,000 and that approximately 41% of this expenditure was on recycled paper.
