Question:

350 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Transport the quantity and cost of stationery used by his Department every year; and the proportion of that stationery which is recycled paper. [2510/03]

The Department of Transport was established on 18 June 2002. The amount spent on general stationery requirements from date of establishment to 31 December 2002 is approximately €124,500; this includes a variety of stationery items, including paper, pens, envelopes, etc. To date this has not included recycled paper. Specialised security printed-paper is acquired separately and to date this does not include recycled paper.
