Vol. 560 No. 3

Written Answers. - Housing Levels.

Bernard Allen

Question:

412 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of houses built in 2000, 2001 and 2002. [2544/03]

The year 2000 was the sixth consecutive year of record output levels, with 49,812 house completions. In 2001, record output levels continued with 52,602 house completions and provisional figures indicate that record output will be achieved again in 2002 with about 57,200 houses being completed nationally. Further information on house completions is provided in my Department's quarterly housing statistics bulletin, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.

Question No. 413 answered with Question No. 118.
