Aer Rianta is not covered by the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 1997. The position in relation to Aer Rianta and the other commercial State bodies under the aegis of my Department, in the context of current freedom of information provisions, is set out in the reply Question No. 1239, which I gave to a Dáil question by Deputy Quinn on 9 October 2002. There is no change in the position set out in that reply.
