Vol. 561 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Michael Ring

Question:

359 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has heard nothing on her application for the special housing aid for the elderly scheme from the Western Health Board, in view of the fact that this person applied months ago; and when this person will hear from the Health Board on the application. [3385/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, responsibility for the administration of the special housing aid scheme for the elderly in Mayo rests with the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
