Vol. 561 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.

Marian Harkin

Question:

344 Ms Harkin asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the expenditure by his Department on photographic services in the periods 1 January 2001 to 31 December 2001, 1 January 2002 to 31 December 2002, and 1 January 2003 to date. [4021/03]

The Deputy will appreciate that my Department, with its present range of functions, was established in June 2002 with functions transferred in from five other Departments and functions transferred out to three other Departments.

While records relating specifically to photographic services are not grouped together for accounting purposes, available records indicate that IR£25,468.75, €32,338.64, was spent on photographic services by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands in the calendar year 2001.

The total amount spent by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands and Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs in 2002 was €24,768.44.

There has been no expenditure to date in 2003 on such services by my Department.

Question No. 345 answered with Question No. 338.
