Vol. 561 No. 3

Written Answers. - Travel Advice.

Dan Boyle

Question:

116 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the advice his Department is at present offering Irish citizens on travelling to the Ivory Coast; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4192/03]

In light of the deterioration in recent months in the security situation in the Ivory Coast, my Department, in line with our EU partners, is advising against travel to that country at the present time. Irish citizens resident in the Ivory Coast are advised to leave the country unless they have pressing reasons to stay.
