Question:237 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Health and Children the starting date of a new building at St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy, County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4965/03]
Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.
The provision of health services in County Wexford is the responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. Approval was given to the project team to proceed with stages 4 and 5 of the phase 1 development on 12 November 2002. The planning permission and fire certificate applications were submitted to the planning and fire authorities respectively on 23 December 2002. The design team has confirmed that the tender documentation is expected to be completed in April 2003. At that stage the South-Eastern Health Board will be in contact with my Department seeking permission to invite tenders and to award contracts for this project.
