Vol. 561 No. 6

Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.

Seán Power

Question:

95 Mr. S. Power asked the Minister for Education and Science if a school (details supplied), which received sanction on 13 May 2002 for the provision of temporary accommodation and yard resurfacing, will be allowed to proceed, in view of the fact that the yard resurfacing was completed in the summer of 2002, 61 pupils will be leaving school in 2003, and more than 80 pupils are expected to enrol. [5109/03]

The 2003 schools building programme has now been published. Full details in relation to projects are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie.

On the basis of the budgetary allocation it was not possible to include any further temporary accommodation projects in 2003. The budgetary allocation for 2004 and subsequent years will determine the rate of progress on projects that could not be included in this year's programme.
