276 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 290 of 29 January 2003, the number of VAT refunds which have been obtained for pendant alarm systems under the Value Added Tax (Refund of Tax) (No. 15) Order, 1981. [5489/03]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that there were 1,899 payments to the total value of €1,232,399.62 made under the order in 2002. Approximately 20 of these payments, with an average value of €30, were in respect of pendant alarms systems.
