Vol. 562 No. 1

Written Answers - Legislative Programme.

Denis Naughten

Question:

281 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance the secondary legislation outstanding within his Department; the function of each piece of secondary legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5519/03]

The position with regard to secondary legislation in respect of my Department is as follows: there are a number of statutory instruments in relation to the designation of areas under the urban renewal, town renewal and "living over the shop" schemes awaiting completion pending the enactment of the Finance Bill 2003; a regulation is being drafted under section 10(4) of the Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices Act 1938, as amended by section 1 of the Oireachtas (Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices) (Amendment) Act 2001. This is required in connection with the provision of secretarial assistance to parliamentary parties.
