Written Answers - Schools Refurbishment.

Paul McGrath

Question:

308 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in relation to minor infrastructural works which are carried out in primary and second level schools, there is an expenditure threshold above which the requirement of the contractor having a C2 certificate applies. [5163/03]

In accordance with the Department of Finance circular 22/95, a contractor is required to produce a C2 certificate for all public sector contracts of a value of €6,500, inclusive of VAT, or more within any 12 month period.
