Vol. 562 No. 1

Written Answers - Services for People with Disabilities.

Pat Breen

Question:

390 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Clare who has been in residential care since the age of 11 years will not be cared for when he reaches the age of 18 years in May 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5485/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability or autism in the Clare region lies, in the first instance, with the Mid-Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.

Question No. 391 answered with Question No. 360.
