Vol. 562 No. 4

Written Answers - Proposed Legislation.

Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin

Question:

298 Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism his legislative priorities for 2003 and for the remainder of the twenty-ninth Dáil. [6320/03]

My current legislative priorities for 2003 and for the remainder of the 29th Dáil are the National Tourism Development Authority Bill, the Arts Bill and the Abbotstown Sports Centre Authority Bill. It is my intention to ensure the enactment of the National Tourism Development Authority Bill in the current session. The Arts Bill has completed Committee Stage and will probably proceed to Report Stage next month. Is it hoped that this Bill will be enacted in 2003. The Abbotstown Sports Centre Authority Bill is on the Government's legislative priority list. The Bill will provide for the establishment of the authority and define its functions.
