343 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 1000 of 9 October 2002 and the reply from the SEHB of 18 November 2002, the reason the procedure to provide a nerve stimulator implant before the end of 2002 was not carried out as promised; if the case will now be reviewed; if the procedure providing a permanent implant will be arranged immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of medical services for persons resident in County Kilkenny is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
