Vol. 562 No. 4

Written Answers - Airport Security.

Pat Breen

Question:

357 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that American based international airlines have expressed concern regarding security at Shannon Airport and to the concern locally that civilian passenger travel through Shannon will be diminished due to these concerns; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6490/03]

I am satisfied that the security authorities of the State have taken, and will continue to take, whatever steps are deemed necessary to ensure that all airlines who wish to use Shannon airport may continue to do so safely.
