156 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if he has received the report of the high level review of the State's commercial ports which he told Dáil Éireann on 19 November 2002 was expected by the end of 2002; if it is intended to publish the review; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Work is progressing on the report of the high level review of the State commercial ports operating under the Harbours Acts 1996 and 2000. I am advised that the consultants expect to submit their final report to my Department within a matter of days.
It is my intention to publish the report together with a statement on ports in the near future. This statement will be informed by the review and allow for further consultation with stakeholders on the future development of our ports.
